Brew Review:

“Hazy Little Thing” IPA by @SierraNevada.

Fruit-forward and highly tropical, Sierra Nevada’s unfiltered IPA is an absolute delight to the tastebuds. A mango scent and taste dominates while a zesty lemon quality permeates the background. It’s primarily fruity with pineapple, the aforementioned mango, and some fresh citrus notes. I couldn't detect any woody aspects in this IPA. The fruit truly dominates. These elements felt reminiscent of Odwalla smoothies (minus the sweetness). It's easy to drink and thirst-quenching on a sweaty summer afternoon.

There isn’t much of a head when poured into a glass, but I didn’t mind the lack of foam for such a light and estival beverage.

Light lemon-gold in color and kombucha-esque in opacity, this beer is truly hazy. The hops balance the bold fruity elements by giving just enough bitterness to add some depth and dimension to the tasting experience. After trying the Hazy Little Thing, I definitely prefer it to their Hop Bullet IPA; While I enjoyed the latter, I can confidently say that I would repurchase (and choose) the Hazy IPA, first and foremost. While this particular beer by Sierra Nevada is unfiltered and unprocessed (and was thus not filtered with animal products), quotes from Barnivore.com confirm that Sierra Nevada is a vegan-friendly brewing company. They also provide handy lists of all ingredients and product information for each beer on their website.
